Dolni Morava is a resort located in the Czech Republic right on the border with Poland. First time we came to this resort 10 years ago, from where we started hiking to Trójmorski Wierch and Maly Snieznik during our college time. Back then there was a restaurant and a parking lot. Nothing special.
Currently, Dolni Morava is a large resort with attractions that guarantee entertainment for everyone all year round. From the huge viewing platform Path in the Clouds, one of the longest suspension bridges in the world Sky Bridge to the mammoth amusement park for kids to run wild all day. In this post, we’ll tell you about the attractions you can see in Dolni Morava and how to plan your visit, as well as what costs to prepare for.
Just remember that on weekends and holidays it can be very crowded here. In addition, it’s worth buying your ticket online, as tickets bought remotely cost less than they would in the ticket office.
Dolni Morava Resort is located near the border with Poland in the Śnieżnik Massif. To get to it you have to take the road to Międzylesie, and from there to the border at Boboszów.
Depending on the amount of tourist traffic, different parking lots are opened (P1/P2/P3 located next to the hotel and P6/P7 located closer to the Vista Hotel), to which parking attendants will guide you. In the summer season, the cost of parking for the whole day is 150 Kc (about 25 PLN), and in winter – 100 Kc (about 17 PLN). You can pay by cash or card.
It takes about 10 minutes to get to the main entrance of the resort, depending on where you park. If you want to use the ski lift, you will have to walk towards the Vista Hotel. There you will find the ticket offices and the entrance to the lift. Here you will also find a really cool Adrenalina Park, where kids can go crazy even all day.
You can get to the Dolni Morava resort on foot, by stroller and also by bicycle, because bicycle tourism here works great.

Visiting attractions in Dolni Morava - what the adventure at the resort looks like
Visitors can choose from two options for ascending the Path in the Clouds. Whatever you choose, there are 442 meters of elevation to climb and you can complete it on foot in about 1.5 hours or take the lift. We took the option of taking the lift because it is an added attraction for children. The lift is in the form of a chairlift (open), so people with a fear of heights or space may not feel comfortable there. The chairlift is also used to transport bicycles and baby carriages. The latter surprised us quite a bit, but as we found out at the top, the terrain is quite flat and the Path in the Clouds can also be reached easily with a stroller. The cost of the cable car is 245 Kc (about 9 eur) / person – children 155 Kc (5 eur).
The hike can be started from parking lot P4 or P5 (this parking lot is located a little higher) and will take about 1.5 hours to complete, during which you will have to walk a distance of about 2.3 kilometers. It is advisable to prepare properly for the ascent, wear comfortable shoes and have equipment with you for the current weather conditions.
The Sky Walk - everything you need to know about this attraction
One of the attractions that boosted tourism in Dolni Morava was the Sky Walk. This huge structure stood on top of a nearby mountain and caused as many words of admiration as protests. The main one of the objections was the destruction of the environment and interference with the architecture of the space of this mountain range. At the end of the day, the facility was built and is really popular with both Czech and Polish tourists. The facility was so successful that a practically twin structure, the SkyWalk, was built in Swieradow-Zdroj.
When you arrive at the site, turn right and walk about 200 meters to the gate leading to the Sky Walk. Along the way, visitors can see information boards that record the background of the facility’s creation and included regional natural curiosities. The facility is accessed by a gate with a QR code reader, where you can scan your ticket purchased in advance online or at the ticket office. You can also buy your tickets right at the entrance to the tower, so you don’t have to buy them in advance at the ticket office downstairs.
The Sky Walk is a large observation structure and it’s hard for us to call it a viewpoint tower. There is simply too much stuff and entertainment here for a lookout tower. The path itself winds upward and takes visitors up 55 meters. There are about 755 meters to walk, during which you can enjoy a beautiful panorama of the surrounding area and enjoy such attractions as walking through a netted tunnel. This attraction is mainly for children, but adults can also enjoy it.
The most recognizable point of the Sky Walk is the meshed platform on its top. There you can see a 55-meter precipice. The attraction for sure will give you a lot of excitement and is a cool spot to take a souvenir photo.
Another attraction that you can make your stay more enjoyable is the slide, which you can slide down to the very bottom of the tower, close to the entrance to it. This is an extra charge attraction (50 Kc / 4 eur) and you can pay by card at the terminal. It supports both English and Polish. The ride down takes about 20 seconds and you slide down on a felt blanket so you can get more speed. However, it’s not a crazy ride, so children can also enjoy it. The limitation, however, is height – 120 cm is the minimum.
SkyBridge - a walk on one of the longest suspension bridges in Europe
SkyBridge is another attraction that has triggered an avalanche of tourists at the Dolni Morava resort. The construction of one of the longest suspension bridges has brought in a lot of people wanting to walk across this unusual structure. Its length is 721 meters, and the highest point of the bridge is 95 meters above the Mlýnského potok valley. It connects two mountain ridges – Slamník and Chlum, offering extraordinary views of the surrounding Králický Sněžník mountain range.
The construction of the bridge cost about CZK 200 million, part of which was financed by European Union funds. Its construction took about two years, and the bridge was made of heavy-duty steel cables weighing a total of 158 tons. The entire length of the bridge leads via a truss, so if one has a fear of heights, it won’t be the best choice.
Sky Bridge 721 is also a part of the “Bridge of Time” educational trail. This educational path presents the history of the region and the Czech Republic over the years, focusing on the period from 1938 to the present. Our children enjoyed the attraction, although it is worth noting that the bridge is one-way and after crossing it, the way back leads through the mountains. The entire crossing of the bridge including the return can take about an hour, depending on the pace at which you cross the bridge
Is it possible to enter SkyBridge with a stroller? Unfortunately, no. The entrance to the attraction, like the Path in the Clouds, leads through turnstiles, which makes it impossible to enter the SkyBridge using strollers or with a bicycle. Certainly, the first section of the hill on the way back (behind the bridge) would be problematic to climb if it were possible. So it is worth taking a baby carrier or sling with you if you are traveling with small children.
Entrance tickets cost Kc 440 (about £75) for an adult and Kc 245 (about £42) for a child aged 3-15. Younger children have an entrance ticket for free.
Additional attractions at the top of the mountain
After returning from the attractions, you can head to the Slamenka restaurant. Here you can have lunch and you can recharge your batteries for further adventures. The Dolni Morava Resort is not only two giant structures, but also a base for cyclists, who can enjoy several Single Tracks and paths through the area. The best part is that you don’t have to buy specialized equipment for a lot of money to enjoy an occasional mountain bike ride. You can rent them at the bottom – in front of the lift – and ride them up the mountain or use the rental shop located at the top. What you should pay attention to is the ongoing maintenance of the equipment. When you rent such a bike you have the assurance that everything works. I remember the first time I had the opportunity to ride an MTB bike down the slope of Silver Mountain… The stress has remained with me to this day – the emotions are really intense when doing so.
In addition, at the top you will find a small playground for children. This can be a good place as a waiting area, as another very popular way to get down is to use the toboggan run – the Mammoth Mountain Railway. The cost to go down is 350 Kc (about 15 eur) per adult and 225 Kc (8 eur) for a child from 3 to 15 years old. We, unfortunately, couldn’t use it because it’s not designed for children under 3, so Czarek was still too young. In addition, when there are a lot of tourists then unfortunately the queues are long and sometimes you have to wait 2 hours for your turn.
Mammoth Amusement Park - a place where children can go wild
Right next to the Mammoth Mountain Railway is an amusement park for children. This is a place we had not previously planned to enter, but it is good that we changed our minds. Mammoth Park is a great place for children from 2-12 years old. it consists of several areas and each provides children with a different experience. Importantly, everything here is powered by muscle power and the child himself can experiment, for example, with the action of rushing streams. The water amusement park consists of several river courses, the flow of which can be regulated by dams. This allows you to drive turbines, overflow the reservoir or change the course of the rivers.
Another place you will pay attention to is the maze, where children have to find their way to the next attractions. It is on its right side that there is a wooden ship, inside of which there are all kinds of obstacles. Children can climb and slide down the slides here.
Our sons really liked the children’s rope park, inside of which there are many obstacles and elements to exercise their coordination. The best part was the roller coasters they could slide down. This is an attraction that a 5-year-old will complete completely on his own, but younger children sould be advised by adults. The danger in this case is not the obstacles, but rather other children who don’t pay too much attention to the fact that the obstacles on the ropes shake and can scare (or throw off) a toddler.
Next to the rope park, on a hill, there is an attraction that can introduce a lot of fun, which can cause trepidation in the eyes of parents. There is a small pond fed by a mountain river, on which children can float in a raft. While this is a cool attraction, it can result in a child getting wet, which without having a change of clothes can be quite problematic. So it’s worth being careful here or equipping yourself with a change of clothes in advance.
The most distinctive and visible place in the park is the large mammoth standing by the playground. The structure measures several meters and it is accessed by stairs or ladders. The mammoth consists of two levels where you can discover interesting information about prehistory and mammoths and a mini park with obstacles. The culminating moment is the descent on a steep slide leading through the mammoth’s trunk. This attraction is not for everyone and smaller children may be afraid to go down this slide. It is also worth bearing in mind that you can bruise yourself going down it, as it goes quite fast and reflex braking can end badly. For this reason, it is better to have a sweatshirt or long pants with you.
So there is something to do here and you will spend several hours here without getting bored. The entrance ticket is all-day and adults will pay 290 Kc (about 38 PLN) online, while children will pay 200 Kc (about 34 PLN). Children up to 90 cm enter for free.
Summary of the tour of Dolni Morava
Dolni Morava has grown beyond recognition. From a small mountain village located in a valley near the Polish border, a huge resort has emerged, crowded with tourists. The number of people is best evidenced by the parking lots stretching through Dolni Morava. Coming here you can count on a whole day full of excitement.
Coming here is not the cheapest, and if you plan to come here with your family it is worth considering buying tickets online, as they often guarantee lower prices than in the ticket office. For example, a family card giving chairlift access to the mountain and a visit to the Skywalk and SkyBridge online costs 2,690 Kc (for a family of 2+2), when on site you have to pay 3,760 Kc for it. So the difference is more than 180 PLN so I think it’s worth planning your trip in advance and not going here on a spontaneous trip.
